Turmeric is a powerful anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and disease fighter. The downfall of turmeric is that it's not easily absorbed in the body. The addition of black pepper and fat (i.e. coconut oil, coconut milk, ghee) increases the bioavailability of the turmeric and include health benefits of their own. Ginger, licorice, and fennel add to the anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties in this glorious blend. Make it with coconut milk or mix with coconut oil for a smooth warm latte'.
Ingredients: *turmeric, *cinnamon, *cardamom, *cloves, *fennel, *ginger root, *licorice root, *black pepper.
Brewing Instructions: Serve hot
For hot tea: Use 1 rounded teaspoon of loose tea for each 8 oz. of freshly boiled water or steep in coconut or almond milk for 5 - 10 minutes. Sweeten as desired.
Chai Turmeric Latte: Heat 1 can full fat coconut milk over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon Chai Turmeric blend. Stir until hot and thoroughly combined. Add honey to taste. Top with additional cinnamon.
*You may also blend mixture on high speed in blender to make extra foamy.
